This sign is only clue that I saw that says contraflow cycling is permitted.

Actually this bit of the High Street is two way for cycling, but there's not much to tell oncoming motorists to beware of contraflow cycling.

Exeter's partially pedestrianised high street - plenty of buses, bikes but not too much other motor traffic.
